The Signature African Art Gallery, in Davies Street, will be celebrating International Women’s Day with a special event to help communities affected by violence.
It is a joint event with the TG Foundation which funds school fees for children affected by violence and rape. The children live in an internally displaced people’s camp.
Guests will also be treated to a live performance by the mesmerising Congolese-Italian singer Sans Soucis.
The Congo is often described as the most dangerous place in the world to be a woman.
Over the last decade, the foundation has helped provide medical care for around 200 women affected by conflict in the Congo.
A UK registered charity, it has also given grants to more than 100 children so they can attend school.
The evening on International Women’s Day (March 5) starts with a drinks reception.
